The Adventure

It began as a desire for a change of scenery during the pandemic and slowly grew into something much bigger. From our forest homestead on Granberget (Spruce Mountain), in the rugged inland of northern Sweden, we began exploring the architecture of geodesic domes and soon arrived at a simple but ambitious goal:

to create the perfect dome.

Today, Scandinavian Domes is a craftsmanship-driven project where mathematics, slow-grown pine, architecture, heartwood, modern woodworking technology, and a fascination with spaces in nature come together — spaces that create an opportunity to simply be.

The Domes

A geodesic dome creates a feeling unlike almost any traditional space. The geometry opens up the space, the light changes throughout the day, and the surrounding landscape becomes part of the experience itself.

Our domes are designed for year-round use in Nordic conditions — built from carefully selected northern pine, heartwood, refined craftsmanship, and a constant ambition to improve every detail.

The Craftsmanship

Domes built with absolute precision

Building a geodesic dome involves far more than cutting wood at different angles. Every component has its exact dimensions, geometry, and purpose.

Our domes are shaped through a combination of traditional craftsmanship, carefully selected northern pine, advanced 3D modeling, and modern woodworking technology — continuously refined through hands-on prototyping in the demanding climate of northern Sweden.

During the summer of 2026, we selected three pilot partners from almost 100 applications from Sweden and abroad. The pilot year has now begun with installations in Hemavan, Åre and Borgafjäll.

Together with our pilot partners, we will continue refining every aspect of Scandinavian Domes over the coming year – from materials and craftsmanship to logistics, installation and long-term durability – ahead of our broader market launch in 2027.

Pilotkunderna erbjuds en komplett nyckelfärdig dome till vårt självkostnadspris. I gengäld önskar vi möjlighet att dokumentera domerna under det första året. Syftet är att fortsätta förfina och kvalitetssäkra våra domer innan vi öppnar för generell försäljning under 2027.
